Left hand bottom side of picture ( G P 2207 LITHO IN U.S.A. with an oval sign with L in it and another small sign beside I cannot make out) Under the signature of the artist, under one of the letters is an odd sign can`t make out if it is (S) or (5).Colours are not faded, actually very beautiful, at the very top of the litho, very very small crack. And a very , very, small dented corner. It cracked when I took it out of its frame to clean the glass. When put back in frame, you would swear this picture is new!
The painting depicts a Native American inspired vase filled with flowers on shelf sitting next to Native American inspired throw, string of beads and disc accented by feathers. The entire painting has raised features indicative of the texture of the items depicted.
Pairpoint quadruple plated water pitcher ,Pairpoint Mfg. Co.(1884-1929).Number on base:1881,Fair to good condition, some plating missing on inside of handle. One dent in body of pitcher.
Very beautiful picture of young woman. On the pack of the picture is the name of Madame Petolas written in pencil and the word is(coloriel). Probably means they added colour to the picture at the time.
At the bottom , right hand side of picture is signed Harris Ewing.
I looked him up, many photographers by that name, which one is he? And who is this mysterious woman, what did she do in life, would appreciate to know more.
Was she someone important??? An actress, singer????of the time. The colours are not faded, we guess, that picture was tucked in a drawer or something , looks brand new but it is very old! Not cracked, torn, a beauty!
