European Brass Table Grinder

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Excellent
Description

This item has been in my family for as long as I can remember and was finally passed on to me in 1998 when my father died.
My great aunt carried it over from the "old country" in steerage on the the boat which brought them to immigration around the turn of the century.

Staffordshire trinket Box

Category
China
Condition
Mint
Description

This is a trinket box that looks like a china hutch. The part which is the cabinet is the base and the top is the open back shelves containing 6 serving peices (1 pitcher, 1 tea pot, 1 bottle, 2 glasses and 1 tea cup). There is no detailed painting to this piece, it is glazed to look like blue marble and the finish is in excellent condition with a very high shine. There are no cracks or chips on the entire piece and it is in pristine condition. The date that is inscribed on the lid looks to be 1824 but on very close inspection it also reads as 1324. The original tag from when my Grandmother purchased it is still on the back and simply reads " Staffordshire Trinket Box". I have done some research on it but can't find anything that looks like it. It truely is a beautiful little pice.

Barbour S P Co. Plate

Category
Metalware
Condition
Excellent
Description

the plate has a very wide border of intricate scenes of peasant life. The are 6 different pictures and the areas between and around them are full of scrollwork and what looks to be rose blossoms. The center is a small hammered design, having a reptilian look to it. The metal is soft and can be easily bent by hand. It is heavy for it's size. I know nothing about it but would like to find out more and an approximate age and value.

China Teapot

Category
China
Condition
Excellent
Description

Received as a gift 35 years ago. Never used, just displayed in a china cabinet. This teapot is trimmed in gold, and has no cracks, or scratches. The bottom has a couple of minor chips, which could have been from the original making of the teapot. The words "SADLER ENGLAND" are on the bottom of the teapot, and there is a gold marking, which could be a limited number hand-written on the bottom.
