This is a large carved armchair thought to be from an old church turned in to a residence that my great grandparents owned and lived in. Appears to be amost entirely walnut with many detailed carved accents and some venner parts. Very sturdy and well made with large springs and purple felt like material for the seat covering with metal push pin type accents and lacey trim. Some of the tons of little nails underneath have released and the springs dropped but everything is intact and could easily be repaired. I have had this chair 10 years since my great grandmother passed and would like to learn more about it and how to take care of it.
I HAVE A COMPLETE PLACE SETTING FOR 12 PEOPLE. SET INCLUDES 1 SALT AND PEPPER, 1 GRAVY BOAT, 1 LARGE OVAL PLATTER, 1 LARGE ROUND PLATTER, 4 SEVING BOWLS, 1 SMALL SERVING PLATTER, AND A COFFEE POT (APPARENTLY THERE IS NO TEA POT FOR THIS SET AS IT IS ITALIAN). WE ARE MOVING TO A FARM AND I AM WONDERING IF IT IS WORTH SELLING OR NOT.
Complete furniture set including, his and hers chest of drawers, vanity with bench, cedar chest and double size head and foot board for bed. With the exception of the cedar chest the complete set was professionally restored about 6 years ago. Original mirrors in very good condition. My parents will be dowsizing their home due to age and the complete set will not fit in a typical appartment and therefore will be put of for sale. Any information as to its potential value and best way to sell is welcome.
