Serving platter showing age and fatigue but never broken, and has always been hand washed to my knowledge. Don't know when it came into the family, but has always been the one used during Thanksgiving at my Aunt's house when I was growing up.
The head is a medium brown and has a round hook in the top of the head, for hanging. The eyes are yellow with black iris's and move when the chin is pulled. It has a red tongue and white lower teeth.
The back has a wood squareish box (looks like upside down house outline) with a slit where the spring is for the chin. It is attached to the head with tiny finishing nails.
I have never seen anything like it and would love to know the background and what it is worth for insurance purposes and/or sale at a later date.
Silver A.W. Co Waltham pocket watch- large size. I don't know much about watches or who exactly owned this. Possible my great, great grandfather. It's in beautiful shape- no dings or scatches. It's been taken care of. The inner workings are increadible beautiful. I haven't polished up the silver (need advice on what to use) or tried to see if it's in working order ( I don't have the key). The face is nice a bright with a couple of minor line cracks. The back is engraved with what looks to be a stylized diamond ring, scrolls and flowers. Makes me think it was a wedding present. There are no intitials in the ingraving.
