This set comprised of a full sized bed, dresser with mirror, and wash
dresser- has been in the family for a few generations. It is at least
around 100 years old and says "Ottowa Furniture Company- Holland
Michigan" on a paper attached to the back of the dresser. It was
appraised about 10-15 years ago for 6-10 thousand as a set. The relative who owned it during that appraisal was told the set was rare. All pieces are structurally sound
and nothing is dysfunctional. The screw holding the handle to a
drawer on the wash-dresser needs tightened and that's why it looks
crooked, and there are definitely a few minor flaws with the details
of the woodwork, a few scratches here and there, and the finish shows
the age in a few spots, but it is largely in good condition as you can
tell from the photos. (not excellent, certainly not perfect, but
definitely at least in good condition). We have done nothing to
restore/refinish/refurbish the set. We have not cleaned it with
anything but dry paper towels.
Since it was appraised so long ago, we want to know if the appraisal still stands at that value/ what the value of it is as a set? And should we sell it separately or as a set?
