I have Palm Leaf Antique Manuscript - more than 100 years old - written in South Indian Language - about a holy matter - in good condition - priced at USD 100,000. Buyers interested in this antique may contact me.
I have four pictures of trains: Thatcher Perkins 1863: First of the ten-wheelers - pulled passenger trains across the Alleghenies; Cannonball Express 1896: The engine piloted by Casey Jones on his famous ride; Jupiter 1868: Represented in the Central Pacific at the famous Golden Spike ceremony; Empire State Express 1893: Became world's fastest train on May 10, 1893 - 112.5 mph. The pictures contain the image and the above text underneath. In the corner of each picture there is the name "Kern." Each picture is in its original framing. Custom framed by Framer's Workshop Queensgate Shopping Center York, PA 848-6869. The background in each picture is silver
Notice the detail painting on the top of hte cabinet and the decorative trim piece across the top. Item still has original finish and hardware, no damage to the item. The finish is wore in some places, but wood is in great shape. The porcelain top slide in an out easily, but it does show signs of wear. In my opinion, the character of this piece is wonderful.
I am not sure about the origins, and there is no label on the piece to detail maker. I know this item has been in my family at least 70 years, so i am guessing it is a depression era piece. I also know that my grandfather's mother bought the piece new.
Any information or details anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.
