Porc

Category
Asian Art
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is a bowl that I have had for a long time. It has prunus flowers and stems. It is black background, with pink border. Tan stems and red lines. The mark on the bottom has a blue line around it. The glaze is applied on top of the porcelain and is thickly over the white areas. Very beautiful bowl I love it.

Antique Carved Swan Arm Chair

Category
Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

I am selling a pair of chairs for a friend. PHOTOS BELOW. She originally purchased them from an antique shop, but the owner couldn't tell her anything about them --- only that they were "antiques".

The arms are carved swans and the legs are decorated with carved fans and bell shapes. The arms are two separate pieces, connecting at the curve with peg joints.

I have looked all over the internet for furniture with carvings like this one. I've found swan armed chairs, but they are large and complex carvings with the heads in an upright position, (instead of a reclining downward position).

My questions are: (1) How can I tell if this is an antique or a repro? (2) Does anyone know where they might have been made? (They have been reupholstered, and there aren't any identifying labels.)

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Beth

Is there anyone that can give me an idea of the worth of 2 Korean End Tables

Category
Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

I aquired it from the family estate and I don't know where they got them or how long ago. The tebles are very well made and the table top has a closed bottom about 5" under the top. It is hollow although I have found no way to open them. I think they were just built that way.
