Found this item in basement of the general store and did not know where it came from and had no information other than it was in the store inventory for many years.
If anyone has any information I would like to know very much.
.. It has beautiful pink, blue and green color glass or mosaic glass in it. The design is in the shape of flowers that are several tones of pink, with several tones of green for the leaves and has a clear glass for the center of the flower. The rest is in different shades of blue. It is a beautiful lamp. It has the original cord and sits on a metal base, and the cord has the on off switch on the cord. On the inside rim of the glass at the top is a band that has the signature Dale Tiffany, etc, unable to make out the last word. It is in excellent condition with no chips or breaks in the glass not sure exactly what the glass is, is it stained glass or mosaic and is it worth anything?
A Jasper Blue Wedgwood Ashtray, found among my mother's things when she was moving recently. Mom believes that it was purchased by my grandmother during the late 1960's or early 1970's, but she's unsure whether grandma purchased it in Europe or America. Because Grandma is from Norway, it could have been easily purchased there.
The ashtray features a white bas relief design in the middle of three Grecian women and a pegasus, the rest of the ashtray is unadorned.
I've searched the web for other ashtrays that look the same, but I haven't found any that were identical. I found several similar with the three dancing muses design and one with the pegasus design that was much larger and had white adornment around the edge.
I'm not sure if this means that the ashtray is so common that no one bothers to post pictures of it, or if it's something unusual.
I apologize for the poor quality of the photos, I'm not much of a photographer. :)
Belonged to my grandmother, then my mother, who was born in 1921. I think the chest must have been made prior to 1921. In good to excellent condition, some scratched on top, hinges, latch work well, no longer have key, there are no dents, missing pieces of wood etc.
