Nippon Hand Painted Baby Dish

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Description

http://s293.photobucket.com/albums/mm42/kaitibaiti333/Vintage%20Nippon%20Hand%20Painted%20Baby%20Dish/

The design has three children dressed up in what looks to be a clown outfit or jester outfit. There are also three bunnies. The bunny on the upper right side is carrying a Japanese flag over his shoulder, although, it's hard to make out in the pictures, but you can make it out by the distinguishable red dot (Rising Sun). I have yet to find another piece by Nippon like this one, but would love to find one. Even with the worn paint this piece has so much character! I have no idea what this is worth, but am truly interested in finding out. Any idea would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Milwaukee Chair Company Office Chair

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

It is a very comfortable desk chair with backrest. Heavy springs make it possible to lean back, yet provide firm support for your back because of the tightness of the springs. There are workings to raise the seat. The chair rotates freely. Wood base; heavy metal workings; wood frame back; metal castings w/ ball bearings for the wheels - probably hard rubber wheels. The wood has lost it's lacquer sheen, but the wood is in good shape.

155 is stamped in white paint on the bottom of the chair along with other paint markings that are illegible.

Note the logo label in picture.

Medal - Governor of N.S.Wales, 1877

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Excellent
Description

Am researching this item for my Dad.

From what little information I have discovered,

I know it is from 1877 NSW, Australia.

The head on the medal is of Hercules Robinson, Governor of NSW at the time.

I have a suspicion that it is from the 1877 NSW Exhibition?

There is another one at the Powerhouse Museum Collection

(That is where the photo is from):

http://www.powerhousemuseum.com/collection/database/?irn=308114&img=854…

Description Medal, awarded to Sir Hercules G. Robinson KCMG, Governor, 1877. Registration number N376-1

And it says that that one was actually awarded to the Governor

so I dont know if this was part of a collection given to him, or part of a collection made for the Exhibition and the Governor was Given one of the coins or what.

I am pretty sure that mine didnt belong to the governor but I could be totally mistaken.

Any infomation on history (or value) of this item,

what it was used for or given to, who it was made by -

anything at all really would be great!

Thanks :)
