This is a singer 221 featherweight sewing machine that I found at a local goodwill. It has the portable case that it goes in. I looked on the singer website and dated it to approx 1940 model 221. I have tried to research it and have found out that the singer logo is in a different place than other 221 FWs. In the ones I have found, they are on the little light, but on this one, as you can see from the picture, it's on the top of the machine. I was told that this makes it rare. It is working and still in great condition and bright and shiny.
I bought these at online auction. Curious as to their actual value. I use them at my home. Any help to know more about them and their value would be appreciated. Regards, -Michael
It has a pull out sewing machine with four drawers and a pullout work station all in one structure. It has the thing to make the sewing machine go. it has a waranty and it was made in 1938. It is black and it weighs about 100 pounds.
