My grandmother left this watch to me. It was given to her by my Grandfather during the war, I imagine sometime in the 1920's, he brought it back from overseas. It is stamped 14k, has two diamonds, one at top and another at bottom of face, a stretch band, I cannot read the stamps on the band. I can set the time, both hands move freely, but does not move after winding.
my grandparents came here from belgium in the early 1950's. when my grandmother died ten years ago, i inherited her collection of silver pieces. i have been able to identify most of her pieces, which seem to come mostly from canadian makers, but this piece i am having trouble with. there is a partial crest on the back and the second half of what appears to be a name ending in "ley". there is also a capital S under the crest. this piece is much heavier than the others that i have. i am wondering if you could identify the maker, origin, age, and value of this piece.
