I assume this is for decorative purposes(I didnt know this when I purchased it). It has a flat handle on one side, and there is no lid its all one piece.  It is very light in weight. The back of this piece is marked made in England.

I would to find out about the history of this urn. When was it created? What was it used for? I would also like to have an idea of the price I should ask for as I would like to sell it.
