Oak Table

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

We own a solid oak table that has a date stamped in the leg fittings of 1902.  It has 5 removable legs with removable wheels.  The table expands with the help of 2 matching leaves from a square table seating 4 to a rectangle seating 6.  The table has six matching chairs also made of solid oak.  This table was purchased by my parent in the 1980s from an antique shop.  It was given to us in 2006.  There is a minor crack on the underside of the table that has been braced by a small board.  The crack is not visible on the top of the table and does not affect the function of the piece.  The table expands due to the tongue/groove wood slides.

Vintage/Antique Crystal and Brass Chandelier

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Excellent
Description

Vintage Crystal and Brass Chandelier. It is in perfect working condition. It"s all original... NOT REFURBISHED. It has 6 lights, All 48 original tear drop crystals and all original 48 small round crystal prisms.

Circa is approx 1945 ? The original brass canopy plate for the ceiling is included. It was originally mounted flush to the ceiling. Chains can be bought at any lighting outlet should you require longer hanging length.
Two of the little candle slip covers are chipped on the top due to aging, a very inexpensive fix. ONE of the small round prisms is chipped but not noticeable when lit or not.
It originally hung in a vintage cottage that was built in 1945, and was original to the home when built.

I have a strange item. It is a small porcelain vial. It is hour glass shaped with a cork in the top. It has a dark blue band around the bottom and a what appears to be a blue upside down v. I would like to know what it was used for and maybe it's origin.
