Hello...my name is Bill ..my father left me this old piece of art within his things after he passed...It is a bronze inlay image in a ebonizied piece of wood...it appears there is a very thin layer of cement or plaster over the wood then colored and clear coat of some sort..the image is of a hat and a long pipe or horn like from the Ricola cough drop commercials..I know it is at least 100 years old because I remember seeing it on the wall at my grandfathers house...If you could please helpme it would so greatly be appreciated...
Hi, I picked this up at a car boot sale last weekend, I think it's made from carved red Laquer, I spent a few hours trying to find out what the four Chinese symbols said on the bottom of the item and apparently they say Ming dynasty and the name of an emperor who was in power from 1425-1436. I'm presuming it's fake/a replica. Anyone any idea? Thanks.
I have some dinnerware that has Taylor Smith Taylor USA 1 37 2 and warranted 22-K Gold on the back. I have the whole set but some of the pieces were broken. I just want an idea of the value so please appraise just the large platter. Thank you.
I acquired a stemmed silver or plated cup. The bottom is marked EPNS REED & BARTON 4050. It also has what a circle with gridlines on it(almost like a globe), with what appears to be a set of wings and a vertical arrow through wings and circle. It stands 6 & 3/4 inches from base to top, cup is.3 &1/4 in across and is 4 inches deep.
