Accurate Description of Item
One Federal Revival Style Drop Front Desk
Appraiser Remarks
Your desk is in what is referred to as "Federal Revival style", the style getting it's name from the fact it uses stylistic motifs from the American Federal period (1780-1820). Most of these pieces are not exact copies of the originals, but are composites, mixing features from English designers George Hepplewhite and Thomas Sheraton. Most of these desks were produced during the mid 1920's until World War II, but the style is still popular. Values vary considerably for these pieces, depending on quality of construction, wood type and how close they follow original period designs.
Estimated Value
$325.00- $450.00
