Description

I am trying to find the value for a 1920’s child’s oak roll top desk and chair. I have refinished it to golden oak color, sealed with shellac and repaired the broken tambour using tambour tape and tambour glue. I am not sure if the chair is original to the set or not. There is also a crack in the very top of the piece.

I am also interested in the value of a child’s spool rocker from the 1920’s. The rocker has been hand sanded and restore a finish has been applied followed by feed and wax. The seat and back fabric are also new to the piece. There is some previous insect damage to the bottom of one of the runners but doesn’t appear to impact structure or performance.

Category American Furniture

Distinguishing marks The back of the desk has the following: 21-15.
