Persian / Russian Silver Jewelry Box or Casket. It is approx 6 5/8" long X 3 3/4" wide X 1" deep. It has corner feet that are 1/4" tall, so the overall height is 1 1/4". It weights approx 363 grams. It has a hinged lid. It is marked with the Russian Silver 84 and another mark I do not recognize. This could be the makers mark or the city where it was made. The exterior has a beautiful deistinct pattern and looks to be hand chased or Niello. The interior is polished. This box very well made and is in excellent used condtion.
