i would advise to store it away, the figure on top might scratch it,
imo its a late 19th century or early 20 century object. The quality of the painting is really high. Combined with the large size it might be worth quite a lot of money.
Its a type of porcelain that has been made in canton, China.
On second thought; im pretty sure this is 19th century,I have a very large vase with the same decoration thats on top of your chair
