Antique Chitarra Pasta Maker Italian American by Merlonetti from Pennsylvania

Description

Double sided rare antique chitarra "guitar" which originates from the Abruzzo region in central Italy. Used to cut fresh pasta into strands--spaghetti, noodles, etc. Wood and Cast Iron. Approx 20" x 9" x 4". Made in West Chester Pennsylvania by Italian American Merlonetti, well known for making these chitarras.

History It was my grandfather and grandmothers.(or my great grandmothers. My grandfather and his mother emigrated to Philadelphia from Italy in the early 1900s around 1910-1915 so it most likely was purchased around that time.
