I believe this is mahogany . I have searched every where and find anything similiar. Would like an estimate. If anybody knows if it is mahgony or walnut. Thanks
It actually dates from the mid 1920's to mid 1930's, but loosely designed to resemble American Federal furniture made circa 1780-1825. These tend to be a mix of maple cases with Walnut and Mahogany veneers, values for furniture like this have tanked since the early 1990's. At auction comparable pieces often sell for under $125.00.
