my husband is 54 years old and this chair has been in his family at least that long. It is all hand carved..it is known as the ugly chair.. But I believe that is an exquisite piece of art.. Very sturdy and a unique base.. Some of the pictures look like it has a red tint but the close ups of the face is the true color ..it is in amazing condition.. no scratches dings or puppy teeth marks..lol..I believe it is a one of a kind.. but I do not know its origin or anything else about its history..I would appreciate any helpful information..
