I'm going to throw out some ideas that may or may not help. First google Oman dagger or Oman ceremonial dagger. If yours is anything like those then maybe that's the direction to go in. The metal work in your mirrors frame makes me wonder if that's it. Also wonder if the white part of the frame is stone or bone or ivory.
