AI Appraisal
Description I have 12 forks and 12 teaspoons, plus 6 plain knives and 6 design knives and 2 serving spoons with this set. The story goes that my ancestor and his wife were presented to the Queen of England in the 1800's, and then they had this set made in Boston. The pattern is a garter, presumably to commemorate their trip to see the Queen, after the knight of the garter pattern. Another story is that at some time in the 19th century, when my ancestor was rich, a maid ran away with the knives of this set, hence the two different patterns. Back of spoons and forks have Shreve, Crump & Low mark with 925 in a circle after it.
