antique trunk with African American portrait in lid

Large wooden trunk with a portrait of a black couple in the lid. Metal accents decorate each corner and curves. Leather handdes and a metal henges are all in good condition. Small wheels are hidden on the bottom of the trunk. A removable woden tray with finger holes and a divider sits in the top of the base. The portrait is on some sort of paper or canvas (not painted directly on wood) and is highlighted by an itricate pattern on each side of the picture. I have no idea of the orgin or value. Large crack accross the top of the lid.
