Antique Vase for Auto

The glass is pink with no cracks or chips. It's approx 6 1/2 in long. It belonged to my grandmother, possibly my great-grandmother. My grandmother told me it was a vase for early cars.

I would like to know what it actually is, how old the vase is, and its value.
