Very old, vintage - possibly antique bow back Windsor rocking chair. Appears to be either mahogany or ?? Not maple or pine. I could not find any makers marks. The back & arms are actually set into the seat, which is one piece. The rockers are almost flat on the bottom and down to bare wood, appears very aged and well used. Also, although it's obviously adult size, appears to be smaller than current dimensions - another reason I believe it's antique. The middle slat in the back has a "keyhole" design and is flat. It's well made and in good condition for its age and obvious use. This was with my husbands grandmother's items, from upstate New York. She was born about 1901. I don't know how long she had it.
We don't know if we will be selling it or not; all of our family are too tall and large to use it but it is a family heirloom.
Any time and help on this is greatly appreciated!
Linda
