This was given to my mother by a friend. It was actually given to her by her mother. Its cherry wood with an elephant in the middle. Definitley an antique.
Hello, not sure if you're still looking for information as I don't know when this was posted. However, this chair is called an elephant chair and was originally used as exactly as the name says, for riding elephants. Southeast Asian in origin. May I ask what you'd sell it for>
Hello and thank you for replying. May I ask where you're located? I'm actually in the Atlanta, GA area but would be interested in the chair, depending on costs for shipping, or if you're in my area. You can reach me directly at stephenholliday at bellsouth dot net or directly at 770.401.7557.
Thank you! I'm not sure how I could get this handled, but let me check into it. I know Uship offers pick up and drop off, but eveything depends on cost. Also, I would need to get payment to your mother. Let me give this some thought.
