Sorry to say, but it would be difficult to get anywhere near what you paid for this set. From the looks of it , it wasn't that old when you bought it. These have been made for the export market since the turn of the 19th century and remain in production to this day. Most were sent home by Businessmen travelling in Hong Kong and South East Asia. I see sets like this go at auction quite often for under $2000.00.
