aug.moreau lamp

Description

working lamp. stands 2 feet tall from bottom to top of hand. paint is chipped. Nothing is broken or missing. everything looks original. signed signature on back with a stamp also. see pictures below.

A lot depends on what this piece is made of, most are spelter ( a zinc alloy) which is often bronze plated, or bronze*. Another thing is the foundry mark shown in your second image, I can't make it out out what does it say?

* Spelter is a silvery/gray color, if you unscrew the lamp from the base you can test it by scratching under the bottom with a nail file, if there is a gray streak under the bronze it's spelter.
