Re: Authentic Bowie Knife Circa 1840
This knife was made by Western manufacturing company in Boulder CO sometime between 1970-1978. I'm attaching a link to a forum discussion regarding dating of these knives and another of a recent ebay sale. They pop up on ebay fairly often and while it is 130-138 years newer than you think, itt is still a collectible piece. If you have the sheath the value in good conditon could be up to $150. Without it and just the plaque, they have been going for $50-100.
