Wondering if this is an authentic Beatles Butcher Album. It has all of the markings of an original (T2553, RIM with a number 6 outside the circle, Capitol Records & EMI labels). Because it is still in shrink wrap I cannot see the sleeve color.
From what I have read, it appears to be an original. The reason I question it, however, is that there are no "air holes" on the album. Did all originals have the airholes?
Aslo, the measurements are: 12 3/8 inches x 12 3/8 inches. Is this an indication?
There are no seams whatsoever. It has the verbiage on back at the bottom: "This monophonic microgroove recording is playable on monophonic and stereo phonographs. it cannot become obsolete. It will continue to be a source of outstanding sound reproduction, providing the finest monophonic performance from any phonograph.
Under that it says: Made in U.S.A. Factories: Scranton, PA. - Los Angeles, Calif, - Jacksonville, ILL.
Hope all of that helps.
Thank you so much
Excellent
