Beautiful Painted Round Side Table

Profile picture for user gazelle
By gazelle, 12 August, 2016
Description

The table is about 2 1/2 feet tall. It is also round and a reddish-brown color. It has a glass

portion with handles that lifts off. Under the top portion is a mural like painting that is

stunning. The bottom also has a round wooden part sitting directly below the top that is also painted .

it is floral painted. The legs are gently curved. I do not know about antiques, however I know it is

quite old. I see no identifying marks and perhaps I am missing something.

Can someone give me an idea of who made this table, or what era, or type of antique it is?

Re: Beautiful Painted Round Side Table

I have found, the best way to get a value is to pay the small fee when you list the item here. I have paid for several. It is much better than waiting randomly for someone that is knowledgable to see your posting and offer the information.

[snippet from the instappraisal.com FAQs]

If you're pressed for time we offer our InstAppraisal Advantage option for a small fee, which assures you of an evaluation by one of our InstAppraisal Experts within 72 hours. For a little more you can use our InstAppraisal Ultimate option for an evaluation within 24 hours. If for any reason we're unable to complete the appraisal on time your payment will be completely refund

Re: Beautiful Painted Round Side Table

I saw one identical omn Ebay, however it did not have the glass cover with the handles, also the paint ( mural ) appeard cracked. How does one know a fair price if one has no experience selling an antique?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Beautiful Painted Round Side Table

I actually have the similar table.  Value is determined by condition,of all components, wood, finish. Original almost always best on furn. Cond of painting.  ..Collectibility,size , rarity And. You look for comparable sales figures of same table etc.  if u can sell it for 650 g or tk.  Sell it

Re: Beautiful Painted Round Side Table

No. 650.00. I'm uncertain on glass tray.   I'd say 350 to 650 tops. Ty. JIMGOREANTIQUES
