Black Forest Cuckoo Clock - 8 day movement

By swede621, 3 June, 2021
Description

Black Forest Hubert Herr Cuckoo Clock - 8 day movement - chalet-style I plan to sell this locally to an antique purchaser. Clock was purchased in 1992 from Willy Neef OHG in the Germany while on vacation.. Clock has multiple moving parts including water wheel, dancers, bell and of course the Cuckoo. Plays "The Happy Wanderer" on the hour. The clock has been on display in our living room since purchase but has not been used in many years. When tested the pendulum swung freely although the clock only ran for about five minutes. On the hour, the Cuckoo worked fine. The dancers and water wheel did not move as they should and the music did not play. I believe that everything would work properly once a technician cleaned and adjusted the workings. I hesitate to bring in to refurbish without knowing the sale value.
