Found in a Goodwill in Southern Alabama, the pontil scar is what caught my eye. I have blown a few pieces and I know the work that goes into it. I never dreamed this cute little cat vase could be famous. From what I gather, she appears to be a rare piece from Wayne Husted formed in 1955 or 1956 for Blenko. I've seen a couple other colors online but none in crystal. It does list the clear color as an option though in the Blenko catalog, and the kitty itself has catalog entry #559. There is also a faint line of color, possibly tangerine, on the head. Just wondering if she is as rare as it seems and if my $3 was the best investment of my life.
