Bottle of Old Rarity Whisky Unopened - States: "By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen" looks pre 1900's!!

By curiousbottle, 30 May, 2011
Description

I have a bottle of Bulloch Lade's Old Rarity Blended Scotch Whisky. I've tried to do some research on this and it's odd that it's very hard to find any information on the value of these bottles.

Many websites will pop up asking if you want to find out how much it's sold at auction and they wont tell you unless you pay a fee...

I have have seen pictures of what I believe are more recent bottles of this type of Whisky but I have not seen any of them that have on the case and on the bottle itself say what the one that I have says.

On the Case and on the label on the bottle it states:

"By Appointment to Her Majesty the Queen" with a special symbol or seal.

Also on the bottle blown within the glass it states that "Federal Law forbids Sale or re-use of the bottle".

On one side of the bottle there is a label which states :

"Distilled in Scotland and Bottled in the United Kingdom under Government Supervision"

I'm assuming it's older than most by the look of it and the fact that

There is No Visable Date on the bottle and the label seems to be older than any others I have seen pictures of online.

It is in almost mint condition and unopened.

I would love to get some information and to see what the value of something like this may be worth at auction or to a collector?

Any help out there would be greatly appreciated!

Bulloch and Lade began opertions in 1856, but the "Old Rarity" trade mark was not registered until 1933. Here's a auction value for you.
