I "inherited/purchased" this wonderful china cabinet from my neighbors about 20+ years ago. They told me at the time that they had purchased it in the 1940's as far as they could remember. I would like to know a more fixed year that it was manufactured, the wood used (I am guessing maple), and it's approximate value and it's re-sale value.
The piece is in excellent condition. There is a "federal style" top piece that I have unscrewed and removed, but I do still have it. The finish is original. All glass is unbroken and original. There are no broken drawers or wood pieces from the window panes. All mechanisms are in perfect working order on the drop down drawer.
There is some minor wear on the base - from scuffs, etc.
It came with several other pieces that are all made from same wood/type:
A large drop leaf table with 3 insert leaves
A small 2 drawer chest
Tea/Serving cart with 2 drop down leafs and 2 shelfs
3 nesting tables
Oval coffee table
half round table that converts to full round for playing cards
