Description

This battery was found in an old quack medicine machine for the eyes. I don't have the machine anymore, but when I opened it I found this battery and a two others inside it. This was the only battery that did not have corrosion or anything else. The machine itself was in a wooden case and had plastic cups you put over your eyes, a metal rod (for some reason) and dials.

As you can see, the battery is made by the Burgess Battery Company of Freeport, Illinois. A "B" type battery with the number Z30NX.

On the bottom it has a message "Install before May 52". Not sure when the battery itself was made or its shelf life since it was made. But clearly an early 1950s battery. Anyone have any information or its worth?
