capo di monte pot with long stand

By bridd65, 29 December, 2012
Description

Capo di Monte (made in Italy) ceramic or porcelain(i dont know).. 28 1/2" tall,  width and depth is 8" octagonal shape.  actually 2 separate pieces (pot and stand)...my mother bought it at an estate sale where the lady(ignorant to such things as i am) told my mother that this piece was brought back from overseas by her father, who was in the war. i can find no dates, but both pot and stand has capo di monte marks. (as seen in my pics)

my mother seems to think this could be worth more than she paid..... she gave it to me, and i'm really curious.... any help would be greatly appreciated...   thank you
