Carved Octagon Coffee Table

I purchased this dark, carved wood coffee table for $20 after seeing a listing in our local paper from a couple wanting to sell it in 1993. People who see the table, always comment on how unique it is. I've searched online and can't find anything like it. I found a handwritten "Mexico" on the bottom. I am curious how much the table may be worth.
