Re: China Bowl - unidentified
I think I have foundout what the mark on the back of your china piece is. The one on the back of your piece looks like a leaf and upon further searching, the rest of the markings may read "hand painted".
Apparently, there are fake Nippons out there. With a little research, you would come up with your own conclusion if your piece is authentic or not.
There are 2 websites to:check out:
1) Go on ebay "how to tell fake nippon porcelain from authentic nippon". It has great information.
2) Google "nippon china marks" and click on the "Images for nippon china marks". From that page, you can get images and information.
Hopefully, I have this right.
I hope this helps you out a bit. It would be interesting to know what you come up with and good luck with your search. You have a beautiful bowl.
