This is such a pretty urn / vase. I saw it at my favorite thrift store for months and finally broke down and bought it because it's beautiful and looks handmade.
With the lid on it is 14 inches tall. Has either two mockingbirds or Phoenixes on the side. Lovely texture. The paint is in really good condition except for on the lid where it does have some flaws.
The inside of the lid and the base of the vase show that the vase is coated with a creamy enamel and then painted over. The base shows some flaws and has a 19 painted on the bottom. The underside of the lid is rough, definitely making it look handmade.
I'm curious how old this piece might be, where it was made, and how much it might be worth. I paid $15 for it. Whether it's worth it or not, I think it's beautiful! Thanks for your help!
