Re: Colt Firearms company framed mirror
Hello Halo.fighter.
I just found this web site and joined. Your question is a few months old, but I feel it does deserve an answer. Your Colt framed mirror could very well be an original printed as an advertisement for Colt Manufacturing Company. Have you had the back off, or the glass out of the frame? If it is original, it will have a copyright date and a number somewhere along the rim. There were a flood of these mirrors on the market around the 1970's. As I have not found any with dates or numbers, I want to say that there were none of these engraved mirrors produced for, or by, Colt. Prices, as of today, seem to be in the neighborhood of $50. It would depend on the frame it is in. If you do find a copyright, please let me know, as I will add information to my research files.
I hope this helps. Charles Gage
Re: Colt Firearms company framed mirror
Thanks for replying but unfortunately i did find any number or copyright, the frame is wood, the back is cardboard and has an old price tag that says $10.80 on the inside. the glass is real with a lot of sparkley material, and if you hold it up to the light you can see the whole image as if it were stained glass.
Re: Colt Firearms company framed mirror
Sounds like a nice item for a gun lovers den. Maybe even the start of a wall arts collection. Charles
