Re: Dainty Teacup & Saucer
Vintage Limoges Inspired 3 footed Tea Cup and Saucer.
I would agree that this is hand painted bone china. The concerns I have is there are no identifyable makers marks what so ever.
Circa 1940's - 1950's
Origin: European / Asia but I have no clue as to where.
Est Value $15 - $35 US ... based on the lack of hallmarks this still is a very lovely piece.
About 10 - 15 years ago I attended many auctions were single cups like this went for $50 - $100 + dollars each set. However that is not the case today.
A few weeks ago at a local online auction 2 lots of 4 tiered book shelves each having 50 plus sets like this went for less then $10 a shelf full ... the shelfs were included. The price the winning bidders paid worked out to about 20 cents per set.
Hopefully in time the markets will change to improve demand on these lovely tea cups. Thanks for sharing. Please leave me a reply on my valuation. It is appreicated.
Peace Always
