This company has been in existance since 1860 and is a major miners lamp manufacturer. Its current location is Robertstown Wales as the Aberdare factory was destroyed by fire in 1978. They continue to make approximately 1500 lamps per month. Many of these pieces are made for company recognition of employees, etc. This piece would have been made for the company Southern Water UK. Many of these safety lamps were used for safety in sewer systems and are still used.
