Elegance antique train pocket watch

By ayrehed, 9 January, 2009
Description

I really don't know much about the watch at all.  Although it does not run, it is otherwise in exquisite condition - neither worn nor scratched.  The front of the watch features a raised rendition of a steaming locomotive pulling cars on a track surrounded by a great deal of ornamental decoration. The back of the watch is also fancily etched with a floral and vine design.  It opens by pressing a spring loaded clasp on the top of the watch.  The face of the watch contains roman numerals with the word "ELEGANCE" beneath the XII, the word " ANTIMAGNETIC above the VI, and something that I cannot decipher even with a magnifying glass beneath the VI.  Even the inside portion of the watch opposite the face has a nice pattern.

If you are familiar with such an item and can give me an estimate of it's worth based simply on my physical description I would greatly appreciate it.  I may at that time wish to sell depending on the value.  I have been as descriptive as possible due to the fact that I do not have a photo.  Please e-mail me if you can be of any assistance.  Thank you.   [email protected]
