Description
I am not sure of the function of the item, but would like to know what it is used for and how much it is worth. It is a sea shell shaped bowl with candle holders and a smaller bowl on one end of it. It has a claw leg on the end with the candle holders to keep it upright. I thought maybe it was something used for christening or something? Any help would be appreciated.

It is my understanding that this is a bowl to serve shrimp in. The Cup usually has a glass in it for cocktail sauce and the "candle holders" are actually for toothpicks....

I don't see any "Sterling " mark in the image. If there is no Sterling mark or a numerical equivelent of it " 925" it's silverplated.
