Gearhart Sock Knitting Machine

Description This knitting machine is in excellent condition. Unfortunatly it did not include the ribber arm or other parts needed to hold the ribber discs on. I am currently looking for these parts.

he People's High Speed knitting machine was manufactured by Joseph. E. Gearhart in the early 1890s in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. The People's High Speed sock knitting machines were noteworthy for their revolving needle cylinders. Despite numerous improvements, the People's High Speed circular knitting machines retained a remarkable similarity to the modern Gearhart family knitting machines.

This is one of the highly collected sock knitting michine, Gearhart started in the late 1800'd in Pennsylvania. It was called the Peoples Michine and was known for its speed and revolving needle cylinders. Being not complete will hurt the value , it can be restored and on the market would be 2000 to 4500 dollars. I have seen the instruction book alone sell for 55 dollars . Good Luck with it
