This tea service has the same gold w/pattern on the outside of each piece and only on the inside of the creamer. There is a pattern in the gold which you can see inside the creamer which is the same on the ouside of each piece. The tea service looks like it's a ceramic w/glaze in an off white color that perhaps has a gold leaf applied to it. The bottom of each piece has a round "seal" that says "Warranted 22 karat gold."
My great grandmother was born in 1890 and lived to be 93 y/o. She gave me this set along with another set of hand painted Nipon tea set and various other china pieces in the 1970's. Along with a china cabinet made by a china cabinet maker in Canastota, NY in the early 1900's. I have no idea where this piece came from or who made it or it's value. There is a little wearing on the gold on the outside of the set in places along w/a few scratches.
