Description
Figurine that measures 11ā x 10ā of a Chinese man riding what appears to be a Jackass. The man is praying or reading, while the animal is eating. Good detail on the man and his wardrobe. Good detail on the animal and the proportion is realistic.
On the under belly of the animal there appears to be the word JAPAN maybe ink stamp. Very hard to determine. But not engraved.
There is some bronze color (paint?) And what looks like the green tarnish that copper gets in some areas. Although I think this is iron.cast metal.
Re: Iron horse
May I ask what happens when you touch it with a magnet? (Your metal will most likely be bronze, as that would be a very typical metal for the area.) Thank you!
