Korean Mape

Description

I have two Korean Mape which were a symbol of authority given directly from the King.  The undercover agents were called Amhengusa.

The Amhengusa would go from town to town disguised as commoners in search of corruption within the kingdom.

Once a corrupt official was found, the Amhengusa would reveal the Mape giving all authority to him.  The townspeople were then obliged to follow the orders of the Amhengusa in what had to be done.

I have done a search for any other existing Mape but have been unable to find even a picture of one.

Because the style and texture of these two Mape are so different from each other, I believe one to be fake and one to be authentic.
